Congratulations to all those who had a great midterm report. For those who need to improve, keep working. Be sure to use the supports available such as Homework Club. Remember your job is school and your credits the pay!
College and university applications are now available to graduating students. Ms. Slivocka explained the process to grade 12 students planning on university and distributed the PIN access codes. The deadline to apply for university is January 14, 2015.
Mr. McEachern explained the application process to those interested in college. The deadline for college application is February 1, 2015
Brennan acted as host to 21 Ontario Universities on October 29. Students and parents from all Boards experienced a warm Caritas welcome as they learned more about their post secondary choices.
We are also encouraging students interested in course changes for semester 2 to make a guidance appointment long before semester 2 starts. There will be very little opportunity to change once the semester begins.
Brennan has visited all our feeder schools. We will host a Grade 8 Day on December 3 and expect a fun filled day with lots of Brennan pride. It has been a pleasure talking to the grade 8 students from Corpus Christi, St. Bernard, St. John Vianney and W.J.Langlois and hope that all our grade 8's are excited about becoming Cardinals in their grade 9 year!
Grade 8 parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend our Open House on December 4 at 6:30. This will give you an opportunity to speak with our staff, tour our school and see the vibrancy of Brennan.
