BRENNAN SPORTS ACADEMIES - OPEN HOUSE

Please take moment to consider visiting our Sport Academies at Central Park Athletics at the corner of Central Ave. and Grand Marais Rd. E.  Doors open at 7 PM this Wednesday.

See the FLYER here.

SNOW ANGELS

Snow on sidewalks is a potential hazard to those with limited mobility. It also makes it difficult, if not impossible, for those who deliver services to the community to do their job - people who deliver mail, read water/gas meters, delivery services, EMS and fire.

That's why the City of Windsor offers the Snow Angels Program, a voluntary snow removal service for senior citizens and persons with physical disabilities. The program attempts to match volunteers from the community with residents in their neighbourhoods requiring assistance.

For volunteers, it's a great way to get some exercise and help your community! For high school students, it's an opportunity to help someone in need and round out your Community Volunteer Hours.

Find out how you can sign up by visiting your Grade level Google Classroom or stop by guidance.

CONSIDERING SCHOOLS IN THE UNITED STATES?

Are you thinking of studying in the United States after high school?  If so, in almost all situations, you are required to take the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or the ACT test.  Both are widely accepted at colleges and universities in the U.S.

The SAT (Click here) -technically known as the SAT I, is a general test of verbal and quantitative reasoning accepted for U. S. college admissions.  The test is required for admission to undergraduate programs of most US universities. Many universities also require you to take SAT-II tests, which is more subject based and focused.

The ACT (Click here) :-originally an abbreviation of American College Testing, is a college readiness assessment standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions in the United States produced by ACT, a nonprofit of the same name.   Remember you MUST register beforehand to take a test and there are fees involved too.
