EXAMS

REMINDER:  Exams start this week.  Please take the time to adequately prepare. Get organized, ask questions, and STUDY!

Please use all your resources to help you succeed.  For instance, consider participating in the EXAM CRAM this Wednesday, right after school in The Learning Hub.  It involves free food so be sure to sign up in the guidance office.

Remember attendance is mandatory during exams -if you miss school due to being ill, be sure to get a doctor's note. Unexcused absences could result in a zero on your exam.

If you have questions about exams or semester 2, please make an appointment to see your guidance counsellor right away.

Yconic   (Formerly Student Awards)
Scholarships and bursary search sites.

This website provides a search function that allows you to find the perfect scholarships for you.It also provides services such as bursaries, grants, student awards loans and budgeting

This website assists students in loans, funding options and decision makings for future education. As stated in their objective and purpose page, "The objective of student financial assistance is to assist eligible students who do not have the resources to meet the costs of postsecondary education. The intention is to promote equality of opportunity for postsecondary studies by providing financial assistance for educational costs and basic living expenses where students (and their families) do not have the resources to meet these costs."

eINFO is a guide to Ontario universities for secondary school students and guidance counsellors.  Its mandate is to provide students and guidance counsellors with information about university programs, admission requirements and additional resources.  eINFO should be used as a starting point for researching university options.

This video WEBINAR is fairly dated, but you may still find it helpful on the subject of scholarships and awards.

Always visit and contact your chosen post-secondary school's FINANCIAL AID OFFICE.  Some awards all new students are automatically applied to, other require students to step forward and submit an application.  Deadlines for such awards can begin as early as March.  An example of such awards can be found at this link at the University of Windsor.

Good luck with your scholarship and award hunting.   A reminder that we will have internal award applications for Brennan students which will be available in May.
