Gr 12 Virtual Assembly - April 7 - Follow up

Greetings Gr. 12s.

Thanks for joining us for our second 'virtual' assembly yesterday.

For those who missed the meet or those who just want to check over some of the details provided, please click on the video link below.  (*Can only access with a 'mytools2go' account)
Reminder from the office:  Remember that you must return all items borrowed from the school (Chromebooks, textbooks, instruments, etc.) by June 25th.

Need more info?  Here are some relevant links to Classroom posts we have provided in the past:  Please review.
Some answers to specific questions from the presentation:

1) is the form for consent or the form for all the available certificates out yet?
No, not yet.  The 'Grad' form will be sent out on April 19th.  We will be sure to remind everyone.

2) What day is the video being shown ?
The planned date for the Grad video's release is June 28@7pm.  Remember, to be a part of this video, you must provide consent.  If you have any questions about providing consent and what that may mean, please just ask.

3) The portrait photos that we have to send are to be taken by ourselves? or will the student card pic be used.
The portrait photos for the regular school uniform photos will be taken at home if they weren't taken by LifeTouch at the beginning of the school year. (Instructions out about this on the all Grade Google Classrooms: See it here.)

For Grad Portraits, they will need to be taken at Life Touch if they didn't get a chance to take them at the school and I believe Mr. Baggio sent out instructions about this.

4) Can I change my mind after I accept an offer from a school?
Yes, you can change your mind and accept a different offer as long as the offer hasn't expired.
Couple things to keep in mind:
    • You may only accept one offer at any given time.
    • All offers must be officially accepted/changed through the application site.
    • You don't have to decline offers you don't want... they will just expire.
5) Can you still apply?
Yes, many programs are still open at the college and university level.  Visit the relevant application sites to get the most current lists. For University , click here.  For Colleges, click here.

If you still have questions or concerns about planning your exit out of high school, request an  an appointment to see your guidance counsellor.

Take care

Mr. Howes
